This Advisory Circular (AC) describes an acceptable means of compliance with the requirements under Civil Aviation Rule Part 125 relating to ditching of an aeroplane, and provides a discussion on ditching techniques, and procedures that may enhance the chance of survival should a ditching becomes necessary.
This AC also provides guidance on preparing a risk assessment before an extended over-water operation is carried out as required by rule 125.87(a)(3).
This AC relates to Civil Aviation Rule Part 125 and specifically to rule 125.87.
