In limited circumstances, the CAA can approve the use of ADS-B OUT for Part 102 certificated unmanned aircraft operations.

If you believe ADS-B OUT is a critical safety mitigation for your intended operations, you will need to discuss this with the Part 102 Unmanned Certification team, or an ETU Project Advisor. Approval for the use of ADS-B OUT will be provided through the Part 102 certification process where the CAA agrees the use of this technology is warranted.
