Purpose

This AC describes an acceptable means of compliance to meet the certification requirements under Civil Aviation Rule Part 115 Adventure Aviation Certification and Operations (Part 115).

This AC relates specifically to Part 115. It also refers to requirements in the operating rules of Part 12, Part 19, Part 43, Part 61, Part 91, Part 100, Part 105 and Part 141. It also refers to Part 1, which provides definitions and abbreviations used in the Civil Aviation Rules.

Change notice

Revision 5 makes changes to align with the Civil Aviation Act 2023 (CA Act 2023), notably updating information on rule 115.62, Drug and Alcohol Programme. It updates information on certification requirements to align with CAA’s Certification and Licensing policy. It also removes specific form references.
