Purpose

This Advisory Circular (AC)

describes an acceptable means of compliance with the requirements relating to aerodrome emergency planning. This material is intended for applicants for and holders of:

an aerodrome operator certificate, and
a qualifying aerodrome operator certificate.

It is also recommended to operators of non-certificated aerodromes.

This AC relates to Civil Aviation Rule Part 139 - specifically rule 139.57 regarding aerodrome emergency plans, rule 139.109 for maintaining those plans, and rule 139.23 for qualifying aerodrome operator determination.
