AC43-21 - *REVOKED* Escape and egress systems

On 10 June 2022, the CAA revoked this AC, as ejection (or ejector) seats are no longer in use in the New Zealand civil aviation system, and an aircraft with an ejection seat would be very unlikely to be granted a Certificate of Airworthiness.

If any participants wish to import aircraft with an ejection seat or similar forms of egress, they would need to demonstrate that:

• maintenance is being completed in accordance with the procedures of the manufacturer or the original military operator of the aircraft, and
• they have procedures to ensure the safe operation of these features.
