The objective of Part 26 is to maintain a safe aviation system through providing additional airworthiness requirements for New Zealand registered aircraft, and to ensure New Zealand meets its obligations under Annex 8 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
The rules set out in Part 26 are additional to airworthiness requirements prescribed in any other Part.
