Purpose

This Advisory Circular (AC) describes an acceptable means of compliance and the syllabus for training and assessment for applicants for an approach control procedural rating.

This AC relates specifically to Civil Aviation Rule Part 65 Subpart G - specifically rule 65.301(1)(ii).

Change notice

Revision 3 makes the following changes—

1. updates the rating terminology from approach control to approach control procedural in alignment with Amendment 5 to Part 65; and
