The CAA has approved a drone swarm light show event for New Year’s Eve in Auckland.
This will be the first of its kind here in New Zealand. Up to 100 drones will be flown to create the various animations during the show.
The show itself will last about eight minutes and is scheduled to conclude shortly before the start of the Sky Tower fireworks display at midnight. The event is being conducted by a New Zealand certificated Part 102 operator.
