CAA is closely monitoring the changes to the response to COVID-19 and the move into the COVID-19 Protection Framework (CPF), also known as the ‘traffic lights’ system.
The Prime Minister announced at 4pm Monday 29 November which regions will move into which colour of the CPF. The country will adopt the CPF from 1159 hrs Thursday 2 December.
The draft Transport Operators Guidance for the CPF is available now on the Ministry of Transport website(external link). It is important to note that this draft guidance is subject to confirmation of the new public health Order for the COVID-19 Protection Framework, and is therefore subject to change.
We have drafted additional guidance for all other aviation sector participants that are outside the remit of Transport Operators. However, this guidance is also subject to confirmation of the new Public Health Order for the COVID-19 Protection Framework, and will not be released until the Order has been Gazetted and finalised.
We expect our final ‘all other’ aviation guidance to be published on our website by lunchtime on Friday.
